Author, Heather E. Young
Introducing you to . . . Heather Young
Heather's 14-year career is an example of the rewards of hard work and professionalism. Growing up in Waterloo, Ontario, Heather would commute to Toronto for auditions and jobs during high school. She spent two summers in Paris, where she did her first magazine cover in 1992. After high school and during university she worked abroad in Athens, Barcelona, Hamburg, Milan and Osaka.

In Europe, she shot for hundreds of magazines and catalogues with some of the best photographers in the business. She has been in dozens of commercials, television shows and films in Canada, the United States and around the world. The prestigious fashion magazine, Clin d'Oeil featured Heather in one of its articles profiling ten of Canada's top models. Also, she is proud to be the spokesmodel for Bioré skin care products.

Heather has enjoyed an impressive career and, with the support of the Canadian modeling industry, is now giving back to business. She has written the essential handbook for models so that she can help empower the next generation of models to be the most respected and professional models yet!

She is a graduate student studying publishing at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and spends her spare time reading, playing hockey, practising yoga and coaching swimming.
